WordCamp Buffalo is taking place on May 6th, 2023, in Kenmore, NY. With by far the coolest WordCamp symbol I’ve ever seen, it will be a must-attend event for WordPress bloggers, web designers, and developers across all skill levels. Registration begins at 8:00 am, with sessions running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants must secure their tickets in advance, as the event’s capacity is limited to 120 attendees. Tickets are $25 and they include WordCamp Buffalo swag, morning coffee, lunch, and after-party food.

This year’s WordCamp Buffalo will follow the tradition of previous editions, offering workshops divided into two tracks to cater to all abilities and levels of use. Speakers from Buffalo, Rochester, and beyond will share their expertise, ranging from user/blogger to advanced developer. These events serve as a vital platform for growing the local WordPress community, providing knowledge and inspiration to all attendees at an affordable cost.

If you are interested in being a speaker, the deadline is approaching soon! Monday, March 27, 2023, is the deadline to apply. WordCamp Buffalo also has a list of need to know for all who wish to apply.

According to WC Buffalo:

  • Speakers get a free ticket to WordCamp and an invitation to a VIP dinner prior to the event but are not otherwise compensated.
  • Sessions cannot be sales pitches for your product or services.
  • Each session will be recorded and submitted to WordPress.tv, so you’ll need to sign an A/V release form.
  • WC Buffalo will request presentation slides for review a few weeks before WordCamp. Make sure you can meet that deadline.

If you are interested in applying to speak, you can apply here! Also, if you are interested in volunteering or becoming a sponsor, the volunteer form is located here and the sponsor form is here

Let’s make WordCamp Buffalo a great one!
