The Pattern Creator is now live!

The WordPress pattern directory has been open for a while with ready-to-use layouts but now anyone with a WordPress.org login can create their own. They can be as simple or as intricate as you would like to make them.

WordPress creativity knows no bounds!  We recently were able to interview the wonderful Anne McCarthy about their project the Museum of Block Art, a cool project that showcases WordPress creativity through block editor. Now there is another creative feature live, the pattern creator.  The WordPress pattern directory has been open for a while with ready-to-use layouts but now anyone with a WordPress.org login can create their own. They can be as simple or as intricate as you would like to make them.  They even have a handy guide to help you.

I tried my hand and submitted my layout.  It was fun, and you’re able to help a future designer/developer with their site.

As you can see mine is a work in progress, but I encourage others to get on there and experiment! Personally, I love the different options WordPress gives us to explore our designer side (or lack of it in my case).  You can change the color of the text, background, where it’s placed, and more.  It is just another reason why block editor is an amazing feature of WordPress.

So, give it a try! And let us know how you like it!
